Diddle

Diddle

Diddle, you were more than our pet you were our family. I remember buying you on my 14th birthday, 11 years ago from a local pet store. You were the cutest kitten I had ever seen, with fluffy black and white fur and beautiful blue eyes and I knew I had to have you. I suffered depression at the time, and having you around helped me so much. Everyone in the family grew to love you so much, when I moved out of home mum & dad became your carers and you meant the world to them. I knew that you were getting old and unwell, and I knew that one day you were going to pass. But when we discovered you had passed away this morning, I felt like a part of me died to. I wish I could have held you when you went to sleep, but unfortunately you went off knowing you were ready to move on. We buried you and I couldn't bring myself to put flowers on your grave today as I didn't want to make it real but I know that tomorrow I have to because that's the least you deserve is for me to be strong enough to do that. I just wish I could have one more cuddle, or to tell you I love you, but now photos is all I have.

We love you so very much Diddle & will never forget you. Thank you for being the best cat I ever had.
